We want to help you unlock the full potential of Co-Pilot: the Musicians’ Mentoring Network, so we’ve put together some handy tips on what we look for in standout applications.

Understanding exactly what we’re looking for in an application should give you the best possible chance of writing a successful application.

Things to consider when writing your Co-Pilot application

Timing and urgency
You should be able to show that you’re at a critical moment in your career and that this support could really help you move forward.

Career focussed
You are able to tell us your music career goals and how joining Co-Pilot at this time will help you to achieve them.

A track record
You can demonstrate a consistent dedication to your music career over time.

A commitment and understanding of mentoring
You should be able to show that you are prepared to invest time and energy into the mentoring sessions and other Co-Pilot activities. The best mentoring relationships work two-ways.

Remember that mentee and mentors work together. Mentors can offer you advice, be a sounding board and help understand what the industry expects from artists.
